Role Summary

Dependent on company prioritization and intern interest: The Infrastructure Planning & Performance Intern will be tasked with creating a comprehensive overview of the Canadian EV market as it compares to the US EV market, focusing on documenting useful data sources, highlighting technical challenges and idiosyncrasies, and understanding existing policy and grant opportunities. The purpose will be to help expand Infrastructure Planning’s site selection tools to encompass the Canadian market. Other project opportunities might include looking into charging behavior evolution as battery technology changes, expanding site engineering simulation efforts, or other IPP tasks the intern finds interesting.

Skills

• The intern should look to gain an understanding of all facets of the EV charging business, grow familiar with both US and Canadian markets, and improve analytic skills and research communication

Specialized Skills

• Some experience with data analytics tools (eg. strong Excel, Python, GIS, or other)

Additional Responsibilities

• TheiIntern will be part of efforts to proceduralize data gathering and ingestion within IPP’s tools.

Preferred Major

• Preference for undergrad; any social science (economics, business, public policy, etc)

Days Required In-Office

• Tuesday/Wednesday's (flexible)
