Position Overview:
In this role, you will work closely with borrowers to guide them in choosing the right loan program, complete the loan application, and gather necessary paperwork (such as pay stubs, tax returns, and bank statements) to initiate the loan process. You will also analyze the credit report and coordinate with various parties including the appraiser, title officer, escrow officer, loan processor, and underwriter throughout the mortgage process.
Key Responsibilities:
Originate mortgage loans through self-generated efforts, referrals from corporate relationships, and various campaigns.
Conduct interviews with applicants to understand their goals and determine the most suitable loan products, terms, and pricing.
Collect required documents from clients and analyze their income, assets, and credit for loan applications.
Take applications, perform preliminary reviews, and submit complete loan files for processing and underwriting approval.
Ensure all necessary documents for processing, underwriting, and closing are gathered in a timely manner.
Actively engage in daily marketing efforts with a goal of generating 4+ loans per month.
Respond to incoming calls and assist customers with inquiries.
Achieve individual and team sales/production goals.
Qualifications:
Current NMLS License is required.
3-5 years of experience as a loan originator.
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple loans and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ethical conduct in all interactions with colleagues, clients, and partners.
