Job Description
The
Workday Analyst is responsible for the support and maintenance of the primary Human Resources
Information System (HRIS) and other information systems for the Information Technology (IT)
Department.
Workday Analyst Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday system support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Provides Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT leads to resolve problems and provide innovative solutions and system enhancements
- In the event of issues, be the key lead in problem resolution
- Assume the lead role within projects for functional areas as required
- Configure and maintain Workday modules, including HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll,
- Finance and others based on organizational requirements
- Play an ongoing role supporting the use of Workday for the business. The scope of the role can also expand into other platforms after the Workday launch
- Develop and maintain security assignments and administration within HR scope
- Develop and deliver ad-hoc and scheduled reports, dashboards, and analytics using Workday reporting tools
- Partner with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional Workday solutions
- Work with third-party consultants to resolve complex issues in a timely manner
- Work closely with Director of HRIS and Payroll
Workday Analyst Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, human resources or related field or possess equivalent work experience
- Experience using Microsoft Software including Office Suite, SQL Management Studio, SSRS, and Visual Studio, Workday
- Three years of experience working on Workday as an HRIS professional at the exempt level with a full range of HRIS module experience in recruitment, compensation, benefits, training and development, process flows, and performance management
- Continually acquire and apply new knowledge and skills necessary to support Workday
- Workday certification in one or more modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Reporting)
- Experience with Workday integrations, APIs, or middleware tools
- Knowledge of HRIS best practices and business process design
- Experience in the trucking, transportation, or supply chain industry
- Strong problem solving, resolution, and trouble shooting skills
- Strong customer service orientation, ensuring needs and deadlines are met in a timely fashion
- Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, escalate, and complete work according to business needs and priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to a general audience
- Ability to work independently & with cross functionality teams
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate a positive, proactive, and motivated attitude
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced organization
