Winery Cellar Leader

$18 - 22 per hour
Position: Full-Time Winery Cellar Leader

Gervasi Vineyard has an opening for the exciting position of Winery Cellar Leader. The Cellar Leader has responsibility to support all phases of wine production, and some vineyard care operations through the varying seasonal requirements and to ensure all assigned tasks are done in accordance with best practices, procedures, and safety requirements. Key qualifications for this position include experience with winery work (brewery experience may be considered) coupled with a mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, a team spirit, and the
ability to execute detailed instructions. This is a full-time position that requires availability for a flexible work schedule Monday - Friday that includes some weekends and evenings during peak times, typically September and October.

Qualifications:
Minimum education: Highschool Diploma, some formal Enology or Viticultural education preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years hands-on winery work; equivalent brewery experience may be considered. Adequate dexterity to use small hand tools (screw driver, power drill, etc.) and hose clamps. Able to walk on uneven ground, bend, stoop, and climb ladders without restrictions, and lift up to 50Lbs. Able to work in varying temperature and weather conditions depending on seasonal requirements.

Pay Rate: $18 – 22 per hour depending on experience
