Position at Coastal Pacific Food Distributors

Position Summary: 

Warehouse training leads are responsible for assisting management in the training of new hire associates and assisting supervision of all warehouse activities. They ensure all employees and activities are operating within designated safety standards. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• • Development and Observation of New Hire Candidates
  • Instruct employee training and onboarding
  • Review employee performance and learning with management
  • Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials
  • Check and complete documentation
  • Proactively undertaking training analysis seeking improvements in process and methods of operating
  • Ensure all necessary resources are available for training to take place
  • Conduct employee surveys, obtain feedback
  • Prepare new hire employees for safely meeting performance goals
  • Giving feedback on any identified problems in the training content / or process
  • Ensure that within the operation a culture of safety is embedded in everything we do
  • Actively participate in developing an open and honest environment, project a positive attitude with candidates
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements: 

Education: HS Diploma or equivalent  

Experience: Minimum 5 years of warehouse work experience

Knowledge: Must have knowledge of selection processes and procedures associated with meeting performance goals accurately and safely. Knowledge of Forklift Putaway & Replenishment, Loading and other areas a Plus+ 

Skills and Abilities:Warehouse leads must have excellent communication skills, as they are responsible for communication among various personnel, departments, and vendors, helping resolve problems and questions in a timely manner.
