Location : We are seeking a Warehouse Receiver for the Music City Center located in Nashville, TN .

The Music City Center is Nashville's convention center located in the heart of downtown. The 2.1 million square foot facility opened in 2013 and was built so that Nashville could host large, city-wide conventions in the downtown area. The mission of the Music City Center is to create significant economic benefit for the citizens of the greater Nashville region by attracting local and national events while focusing on community inclusion, sustainability and exceptional customer service delivered by our talented team members.

Principal Function :

The Warehouse Receiver position exists in Sodexo Live! venues of varied sizes and within varied lines of business, such as Sports Stadiums, Entertainment Arenas, Convention Centers and Universities. They are responsible for the receiving, unloading, storing and distributing of food product, retail merchandise and other supplies, while maintaining a neat and organized work environment.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Receive and store stock and special-order of Food and Beverage while adhering to and understanding safety policies and regulations
• Safe Serv Certification a plus, or must get within 3 months of Start
• Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, occasional Saturdays
• Perform all job operations in a safe manner in accordance with company safety policies
• Inspect Foods for quality, quantity, size, style and color using Purchase Orders and acquired knowledge of product line
• Palatalize, stage all Food and Beverages according to Requisitions
• Tag special order Foods using printed tickets
• Retrieve inventory for the use of production and shipping using the necessary equipment
• Maintain warehouse area for effective storage, i.e., sweeping, cleaning and organizing material using necessary supplies and equipment
• Report all damaged material to the Warehouse Manager so that it may be recorded, in order to maintain accurate repair records
• Mark damaged supplies with labels and return accordingly
• Employee may operate a forklift in a safe manner (if certified to use)
• Standing/Walking: 8 hours repetitive on feet on concrete floor
• Stooping/Reaching/Bending: continuous to gather items
• Must be able to work in varied temperature hot or cold depending on the weather and how it effects the Warehouse temperature
• Extended work day (overtime) as needed

Qualifications/Skills :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in a food service/operations/warehousing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.
• Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Ability to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location.
• Technology aptitude for data input and working with automated inventory system.
• Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs.
• Must have valid driver's license and certification for use of Cushman cart or forklift.

Other Requirements :

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
