Who we are
At Perinton Veterinary Hospital, you’ll feel the warmth and openness of our clinic, while having the opportunity and support of a united network. Our ideal candidate is an individual who is passionate about animal care, highly motivated, efficient, and pays attention to detail. Our Veterinary Assistants work side by side our Veterinarians (DVMs) and Licensed Vet Technicians (LVTs) during procedures. A part-time position would require working between 20-30hours a week.
Role Responsibilities:
Competently speak and write the English language.
Perform job tasks efficiently without rushing.
Promote a positive attitude among staff.
Handle stress and pressure with poise and tact.
Communicate and educate clients on medical recommendations in person or over the phone
Stocking exam and treatment rooms with supplies, maintaining a cleanenvironment for the hospital
Utilizing computer information systems to record patient history, update and maintain medical records.
Precisely dispense pharmaceuticals as required.
Aid in placing weekly inventory orders, manage on-hand inventory, and receive shipments.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in animal husbandry.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
High school diploma or equivalent, AAS or higher preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squatting, reach, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay range starting at $16-18/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
