As a Summer Camp Aide, you'll play a vital role in supporting the YMCA's mission to strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

In this role, you will maintain a supportive and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all youth, and provides a quality experience for the YMCA Day Camp.

Your key responsibilities include:

1. Supervise and monitor the safety of children during camp activities.
2. Provide leadership through positive reinforcement and redirection.
3. Create a positive rapport and shared interests with all youth, modeling relationship-building skills in all interactions.
4. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all program participants.
5. Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities and games.
6. Provide opportunities for youth to lead, problem-solve, and make decisions within the program, fostering personal growth.
7. Encourage daily reflection and response to experiences for program participants.
8. Attend and actively participate in program activities, staff meetings, and training sessions.
9. Fulfill other duties as deemed necessary by the Youth Development Director.
