Job Description

Summary

A substitute teacher will either be called ahead of time to cover someone else's time off, or maybe called the day of, if someone calls in sick. This substitute position can vary in how many hours or days dependent on teachers being absent also can depend on which position you are filling in for. As much notice as we can will be given.

Duties

If you are called in to be a substitute then you would automatically become the assistant teacher. If the lead is absent then the assistant will take lead for the day.
Duties would include set up of a classroom in the: for example taking down chairs and emptying the dishwasher.
Greeting children and assisting them as needed. Helping the lead teacher with carrying out snack duties and clean up and the same for lunchtime.
Assisting the children in class with any needs they may have.
These are the very basics a better description and job role can be supplied upon interview or hire.
Also observation of classrooms will be required before start.
