Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Sr. UX Writer, you will be a valuable member of Project Kuiper’s Commerce team, and craft simple, straightforward, and human copy copy across the web, app, customer support and technician applications to create delightful experiences across the globe. In this role, you will work directly with UX, product, and engineering to deliver engaging user experiences, as well as translating writing guidance to help UX writing scale while raising the bar. You will define and create standards, patterns, and mechanisms to elevate and scale our UX writing to be crisp, clear, and transparent.

Project Kuiper’s success requires leaders who are owners, and who possess the entrepreneurial spirit needed to create new products. Leaders will solve complex problems and get things done. As a Sr. UX Writer, you will own the messaging guidelines, patterns and frameworks to best support Kuiper customers and associates across their entire experience journey.

A successful candidate will be curious, creative, highly analytical and be able to work autonomously to drive impact as part of a large and growing cross-functional team across UX, Product, Engineering, and Marketing. We are looking for a Sr. UX Writer who is a systems thinker and highly skilled at creating content frameworks that can be scaled across surfaces and workflows. UX Writers who have experience planning, writing and scaling UX writing design guidelines and templates are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed and has experience proactively gathering research and data about the products and services to which you provide content to inform your decisions. The successful candidate must be capable of synthesizing a variety of inputs into experiences and designs that customers love!

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

- Earn trust with product managers to develop shared vision and use research and data to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
- Develop content frameworks, guidelines, product narratives, and other deliverables that explain your recommendations and help people understand the practice of UX writing and content strategy.
- Work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged, thinking long-term and strategically while still achieving quick wins and short-term objectives.
- Make sure that customers have the right information at the right time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
