Description Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Information Security Analyst to join our Security Operations team. This role is ideal for professionals with several years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, incident response, and security automation.

Ideally we would like to find a candidate in the local West Michigan area. But, we are open to remote candidates within the Central and Eastern time zones.

Scope of the Role

• Support day-to-day security operations, including monitoring, triage, and incident response.
• Manage and improve the vulnerability management lifecycle using tools such as Tanium, CrowdStrike, or other industry-standard platforms.
• Develop and maintain security automation scripts and workflows using Python and other automation platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security controls and response strategies.
• Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and documentation for security operations processes.
• Analyze security events and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the SOC and mentor junior team members as needed.

Experience Required

• Strong experience with vulnerability management and remediation processes.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Tanium, CrowdStrike Falcon, or similar vulnerability and endpoint management tools.
• Demonstrated ability to build and deploy security automations and integrations.
• Deep understanding of security event triage, threat detection, and incident response.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, and threat intelligence.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrates a proactive security mindset and a strong sense of ownership in driving new initiatives from concept to execution.
• These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree within a related field; combined with 5+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response or related areas

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with SOAR platforms and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat modeling.
• CISSP or other relevant security certification (e.g., GCIH, GCIA).
• Experience working in a hybrid or cloud-native environment (AWS, Azure, etc.).
