Specialty Packaging Films Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team and play a critical role in consolidating PLASTILENE's position as a strategic supplier in the flexible barrier packaging industry across North America. This is a dynamic, full-time hybrid role based primarily in Columbus, OH , with some remote work flexibility.

The ideal candidate will provide sales and technical support to drive growth, forge strategic customer relationships, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Industry knowledge, product expertise, and strong connections with potential customers will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Sales : Act as the primary technical sales representative, identifying customer needs and recommending high-barrier film solutions that align with their goals.

• Customer Support : Provide hands-on technical support to customers, ensuring optimal product performance and addressing inquiries or challenges effectively.

• Industry Expertise : Leverage in-depth knowledge of the high-barrier film industry to educate customers on product benefits and applications.

• Solution Development : Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop tailored barrier packaging solutions that meet market demands.

• Quality Management : Oversee and ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the packaging process, from design to delivery.

• Strategic Relationship Building : Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster trust, loyalty, and long-term partnerships.

• Market Expansion : Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the high-barrier film sector, contributing to the growth of PLASTILENE's North American market share.

• Team Collaboration : Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and production teams to support innovation and project success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the high-barrier films industry and a comprehensive understanding of the market.

• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and a strong attention to detail.

• Hands-on experience across various phases of the packaging process.

• Deep interest and knowledge in innovation and sustainability in packaging solutions.

• A motivated and passionate team player with a strong sense of initiative.

Compensation

• Market-competitive rates, aligned with Bureau of Labor Statistics data for the industry and role.

• A combination of base salary and variable compensation, with the option of a higher base salary during the first three months of training.
