Salary: 166,400 - 287,700 USD per year Requirements:

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) new and existing systems.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of relevant experience architecting fault-tolerant and highly available systems.
• 3+ years of relevant experience owning 24x7x365 service operations.

Responsibilities:

• As a Software Development Manager for the Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) Layer 4 Health Checks (Pulsar) team, I will empower you to lead a group of talented engineers responsible for health checking of targets for L4 Load Balancer products, including NLB, GWLB, and Falcon, as well as tackle a variety of new, evolving use-cases. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of target health at scale, which aids routing layers in making decisions regarding where to direct incoming requests, thereby ensuring customer expectations for application availability on AWS are met. You will drive a culture of operational excellence, establish goals for your team, prioritize work based on business outcomes, and influence partner teams. Your leadership will be essential in recruiting, mentoring, and developing our engineering talent.
