Requirements:
• A graduate degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
• Active New Mexico license
Responsibilities:
• Maintain licensure from the appropriate NM Board and the Public Education Department in NM.
• Adhere to applicable federal and state law and local policies and regulations for public education entities, including but not limited to 6.60.9 NMAC,FERPA, HIPAA, etc.).
• Communicate positively and effectively with parents, children, colleagues, and other agency personnel while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist in coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Serve as Case Manager of assigned students.
• Maintain confidential records of students in accordance with State and Federal laws and Board of Education policies, including records of all counseling services provided.
• Provide individual and group counseling relative to a student’s personal adjustment and emotional health.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of community agencies and resources.
• Assist in the response to crisis situations in tandem with colleagues and community personnel.
• Maintain accurate data and records that are relevant to planning, implementation, and evaluation of school social work services.
• Provide Therapeutic services under their licensure to students in member districts.
• Perform therapy evaluations as allowed under the appropriately licensed discipline, including a written report.
• Participate in the development of and attend the Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
• Deliver services in accordance with the frequency and intensity indicated on the IEP
• Attend all required meetings at ember districts to ensure service delivery and documentation in alignment with District procedures, and Federal and State guidelines.
• Provide supervision either in person or virtually as allowed under the appropriate licensure requirements.
