Many team members have been with the company for over 20 years, creating a culture that feels like family. **Position Summary** The Safety Manager will lead safety initiatives, provide hands-on training for heavy equipment operation, and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards. This role requires proactive engagement with field teams and general contractors to maintain a safe and productive work environment. **Key Responsibilities** + Collaborate with foremen and superintendents to resolve field challenges. + Maintain safety standards and represent the company professionally with general contractors. + Conduct rotating jobsite visits for consistent safety oversight. + Support supervisors in completing Jobsite Safety Surveys and ensure timely documentation. + Assist foremen with JHAs, lift/mobilization plans, rigging setups, and site-specific safety controls. + Provide real-time coaching when hazards are identified. + Ensure daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and equipment inspections are completed and documented. + Lead new-hire safety onboarding and integration. + Deliver task- and equipment-specific safety training (rigging, fall protection, excavation, crane support, spotter training, etc.). + Help develop a structured training handbook for new hires and supervisors. **Qualifications** + OSHA 30 Certification (required). + 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience. + Ability to lift heavy materials for extended periods (10+ hour days). + Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions. + Reliable transportation and clean MVR. + Strong communication skills and knowledge of tools/materials. **Employee Value Proposition** + Family-owned company with stability and growth opportunities. + Inclusive culture that values loyalty and hard work. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce City, CO. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
