ABC13 provides live local news and weather coverage 24/7 through its linear and streaming newscasts, as well as its website, apps and social media platforms. ABC13 is deeply engrained in the Houston community, the most diverse city in the nation. ABC13 Localish stories celebrate the good people and places that make Houston so unique. The station is the community leader, giving back through tentpole events throughout the year, including Share Your Holidays food drive, E-Cycle Earth Day electronics recycling event, and Pick Your Pet adoption drive. The biggest events in Houston all happen on ABC13! The station is the proud media partner for the Houston Marathon, Galveston Mardi Gras, the Houston Rodeo Parade and the Houston Pride Parade, and the Freedom Over Texas July 4th celebration. **Job Summary** The photojournalist will have daily responsibilities to work in the field to shoot and edit news stories that has been assigned to them by newsroom management. Once video is shot they edit the video working collaboratively with reporters to create news stories for linear and digital broadcasts. (Please include most recent professional reel link.) **Basic Qualifications** · Demonstrate good news judgement · Proficient in lighting, audio and non-linear editing for television news · Experience operating a live truck · Team player with exceptional work ethic **Required Qualifications** · Three years television news experience · Clean Driving Record · The ability to work under deadline, multi-task and prioritize assignments · Must be able to lift and carry minimum of 30 pounds of equipment · May require standing for long periods of time · Flexibility to work any shift/any day including weekends and holidays and business dictates **Preferred Qualifications** · Ideal candidate would be comfortable on-camera if needed **Required Education** · High School Diploma **Job ID:** 10133734 **Location:** Houston,Texas **Job Posting Company:** ABC Owned TV Stations The Walt Disney Company is an equal opportunity employer.
