Summary Part-Time/Seasonal: 16 hours/week, Thursday and Frida,y 8-10 hours/day
Dates: May - August 15, 2025, with the possibility of an extension
Position Overview: Children's Center in Craftsbury, VT seeks a collaborative teacher to support with daily care and assistance with educational activities in our Montessori, nature, and community-inspired program for children ages 15 months - 5 years. You'll work with other program teachers and directors to support a holistic and inspiring program . A strong candidate is excited about guiding children through social-emotional growth in an indoor and outdoor learning environment.

Duties - Daily care routines for children 15 months to 5 years old
- Assist in maintaining safe and inviting spaces to inspire creativity, self-confidence, & cooperation with peers
- Work with the teacher team to implement an inspiring curriculum rooted in our values
- Follow state licensing standards & program policies
- Support child skill development through individual/small group activities - reading, singing, art, self-care etc.
- Support the daily flow of the indoor and outdoor classrooms
- Assist with daily cleaning routines and organization of classroom spaces indoor and outdoor
- Participate in training and continued education, as necessary for your role
Requirements - Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of a high school diploma/Associate's Degree preferred
- Have 1-year experience working with children from birth to grade 3
- With the support of center resources willing to participate in 15 hrs of paid Professional Development
- CPR and First Aid Certified, or be willing to obtain
- Excited to work outdoors daily with children in all weather conditions
