**Job Description**
Join a leading commercial painting company in the Bay Area for a 3-4 month assignment during Stanford University's summer recess. We are looking for experienced painters who are reliable and committed to delivering high-quality work across multiple locations including Mountain View, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Sunnyvale.
**Responsibilities**
+ Paint, stain, and varnish surfaces using brushes and sprayers.
+ Use hand sanders to prepare surfaces.
+ Repair surfaces to be painted, including plastering and sheet rock finishing.
+ Mix and match paint colors.
+ Waterproof surfaces.
+ Refinish furniture such as chairs, bookcases, and desks.
+ Set glass and apply putty.
+ Paint signs.
+ Occasionally hang wallpaper.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 3 years of recent commercial painting experience.
+ Comfortable switching locations if needed.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in interior and exterior painting.
+ Experience with tenant improvement projects.
+ Journeyman or apprentice painter experience is a plus.

**Work Environment**
Work on-site at Stanford in Palo Alto on commercial buildings. Be prepared to work in all weather conditions and flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends. Standard work attire includes all white long pants and sleeves, along with work boots. Ensure you have reliable transportation and bring a packed lunch as breaks off-campus are not feasible.

This is a Contract position based out of Stanford, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
