Job Title: Mechanical Designer – Design Build (MEP)

Location: Bangor, ME

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $75,000 – $100,000 and more (Based on experience and credentials)

Responsibilities:

• Support senior engineers in creating mechanical design documents
  
• Perform mechanical and plumbing design calculations
  
• Develop schematic system layouts in collaboration with the BIM and estimating teams
  
• Create and manage 3D models using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related tools
  
• Assist in assembling complete design documents for construction handoff
  
• Stay current on ASHRAE, mechanical, and energy codes to ensure compliance
  

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of HVAC/plumbing systems and commercial building construction
  
• Familiarity with 3D BIM coordination and design software (Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, TRACE 3D+, etc.)
  
• Strong communication and documentation skills (written and verbal)
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  
• FE exam passed; pursuit of PE licensure encouraged
  
• Previous experience in mechanical design or construction environments
