The role

We are looking to hire an experienced marketing and events professional to join the Raspberry Pi Foundation's growing US team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in a marketing or events focused role, ideally in the education sector. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to manage a diverse and fast paced portfolio of projects.

This is a newly created position in our US team and you will work across all of our US-focused products and programmes. You will also work closely with our global marketing and communications team who are based in the UK. We strive to make the Foundation a place where talented people who care about our mission can do the best work of their careers. We have a flexible and collaborative approach to all aspects of our work. • Plan, promote, and deliver events across the US, including educator training workshops, volunteer meetups, conference booths, and showcase events for young people.
  • Manage event logistics end-to-end: budgeting, venue selection, travel arrangements, vendor coordination, materials prep, and on-the-ground support.
  • Represent the Raspberry Pi Foundation at key conferences, education summits, and community events to build visibility and foster partnerships.
  • Create or adapt content for email marketing, social media, digital ads, event promotions, and partner toolkits.
  • Collaborate with the global marketing and communications team to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and messaging strategy.
  • Track and report on marketing metrics, event participation, and campaign performance to inform future strategy and planning.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting for marketing and events activity in the US.

  • Experience of designing, developing, and implementing marketing campaigns
  • Experience of running events, workshops and training, ideally with educators and young people
  • The ability to analyse and interpret data to evaluate campaign success and ROI, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to represent the Foundation externally, write clearly, and to build rapport with diverse audiences, including educators and young people
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and to prioritise key tasks
  • A good understanding of the structure of the school systems in the USA.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the USA.

About us

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a global education nonprofit with the mission to enable young people to realize their full potential through the power of computer science and digital technologies. In the US we operate through Raspberry Pi Foundation North America which is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

Established in 2008 and first known for our product — the wildly successful Raspberry Pi computer — the Foundation has developed education programmes, learning experiences, and products that are helping millions of young people learn vital new knowledge and skills.

Through Code Club, we support the world’s largest network of free informal computing clubs for young people. Tens of thousands of educators have taken our online courses, and millions of people use our free online curriculum and learning resources. To deepen our understanding of how young people learn about computing and how to create with digital technologies, we conduct academic research, and we use that knowledge to increase the impact of our work and advance the field of computing education.

Across all of our work, we work hard to engage young people who come from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in the field of computing or who experience educational disadvantage. We work all over the world, with teams based in the UK, Ireland, North America, and India, and partnerships with mission-aligned organisations in over 40 countries.

We are at the forefront of the global movement to help young people learn about computing and digital technologies. You can read more about our mission, values, and goals in our Annual Review 2023 and our Strategy 2022–2025 .

Benefits

In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a range of benefits for all of our colleagues in the USA, including:

  • 15 days annual leave plus public holidays (prorated for part-time employees)
  • Option of buying up to 2 working weeks extra annual leave per year
  • Company-wide close down for 3 days at the end of the year
  • Paid sabbatical leave (after 7 years of service)
  • Retirement savings plan (401(k))
  • Workers' compensation cover
  • Group term life and AD&D insurance
  • Medical cover (including dental and vision)
  • Family leave policies

Timetable for applications
Closing date: July 21, 2025
Phone screen: Week of July 28, 2025
First-round interview: Week of August 4, 2025
Second-round interview: Week of August 11, 2025

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. If successful in the selection process, you will be required to undergo a background check to confirm that you are a suitable person to work with children. Further background checks will be made at regular intervals thereafter.
