Job Summary

The Rink Maintenance Associate plays a vital role in keeping our ice, facilities, and grounds clean, safe, and running smoothly. This position combines hands-on maintenance, rink operations support, and direct interaction with members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms, restrooms, and public areas.
• Assist with ice maintenance: edging, snow removal, and supporting Zamboni operations.
• Keep off-ice surfaces free of snow and ice; ensure safe, dry conditions.
• Perform light facility and grounds maintenance (leaf blowing, repairs, general upkeep).
• Monitor and report facility or equipment issues promptly.
• Remove snow and water during storms to maintain safe access (including early or late shifts as needed).
• Serve as scorekeeper during games when scheduled.
• Greet and assist members and guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Politely enforce club and safety rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older .
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Prior experience in facility maintenance or ice rink operations preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work in cold, wet, outdoor conditions .
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Customer-service oriented with a positive attitude.
• CPR or First Aid certification a plus (not required).

Work Environment

• Outdoor and indoor work in cold and variable weather conditions .
• Physical role requiring frequent movement, lifting, and hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Collaborative, community-focused team environment.

Schedule:

• 8-9 hour shifts
• Morning (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) or Evening (2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.)
• Weekend availability required (Saturday & Sunday)
• Some early-morning, late-night, or overnight work during inclement weather
