Position Overview

The Nitro Bar in Providence, RI is looking for a line and prep cook to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working. They must be willing to learn quickly, pay close attention to detail, work well within a team environment and maintain a clean workspace at all times. We expect our Line and Prep Cooks to interact with customers, as our layout is an open kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and plating standards. 
• Station Management: Set up and maintain designated station, ensuring it's stocked and clean.
• Food Handling: Handle and store food safely, following food safety protocols. 
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality meals. 
• Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of their station and surrounding areas. 
• Inventory: Take inventory counts before and after shifts, if required. 
• Assistance: Assist other kitchen staff as needed. 

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience
