Part-time, 20-29 hours weekly as needed. Office hours are primarily weekdays, but evening and weekend hours may be required.

LeTourneau University seeks a person with an enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith who is committed to Christian higher education and integrating faith with learning. The Margaret Estes Library is seeking a part-time access services librarian to provide oversight of circulation services, research assistance, and manage the interlibrary loan service. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Meets library needs of faculty, staff, residential, and global students.
• Manage interlibrary loan service.
• Provides library reference services.
• Performs circulation desk tasks.
• Maintains shelving system according to Library of Congress classification.
• Manages library information systems.
• Maintain library administration files and library calendar.
• Supervises student workers.
• Assists with the university archives and R.G. LeTourneau Museum.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• The person frequently communicates with students, faculty, and community members and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person operates computers and other productivity equipment and machinery.
• The person must be able to evaluate digital, print, and archive material, including those in various font types and sizes.
• The person frequently moves audiovisual and library equipment and books weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field that requires research (examples: English, theology, business, psychology); a Master’s Degree is preferred. MLS/MLIS will take precedence.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Superb customer service skills are required.
• The ability to work independently is required.

Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience and other qualifications.
