**General Production Worker - McCook, IL** **1st Shift - $15/hr** **NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, WILL TRAIN!** **Job Description** As a General Production Worker, you will be trained to perform electronic assembly of switches utilized across military, government, agriculture, and healthcare sectors. This role involves handling small parts, requiring good hand-eye coordination, and using hand tools to assemble various component parts. You will gather necessary materials and place components onto PC boards, working with precision hand tools. The position requires standing and sitting throughout the day, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail. **Responsibilities** + Perform electronic assembly of switches for various sectors including military, government, agriculture, and healthcare. + Handle small parts with precision and dexterity. + Utilize hand tools to build and assemble component parts. + Gather and organize materials required for assembly. + Place components onto printed circuit boards (PC boards). + Maintain focus and attention to detail while working at your own station. + Stand and sit for extended periods throughout the workday. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Experience in electronic assembly and soldering. + Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Solder certification is a plus but not required. + Experience in pick and place operations will be considered for adjusted pay. **Why Work Here?** Join a team where there is potential for permanent placement after successful performance, with an average transition time of 6-7 months. The facility operates with three shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, with orientation times specified for each shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Cook, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
