Information Technology – Remote (U.S. Based)

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an experienced Front-End Web Developer. This position offers opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a creative edge to get involved with all aspects of user interface and Front End development of CBN’s web properties. This professional will work in collaboration with CBN’s backend and creative developers to create dynamic web interfaces that provide a high-level of user experience to users on mobile, tablet and desktop devices.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Strong web application architecture and design skills
• Strong javascript background, able to jump into multiple frameworks as needed
• Experience working directly with a product manager and designer to turn a design into a real product
• Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• 2+ years of experience working in a web application environment with an emphasis on OO technologies applied to Internet facing applications
• Bachelors or equivalent number of years of experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for development, and testing of Internet applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport with all levels of management and staff
• Flexible with ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
