Front Desk Staff

Arizona Youth & Family Services, Inc. (AYFS) of Phoenix, AZ is looking to hire a full-time Front Desk Staff to join our nonprofit organization. ABOUT ARIZONA YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES, INC.

AYSF is a nonprofit, outpatient, community behavioral health agency currently serving children, adolescents, and families throughout Maricopa County. Services provided through AYFS include home-based crisis management, outpatient counseling, medication management and education, one-to-one behavior coaching, case management, parent support, and psycho-educational programs. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FRONT DESK CLERK

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Front Desk clerk is responsible for daily engagement with AYFS staff and counseling clients, and their families through face-to-face contact of by phone.

Welcomes counseling clients and their families and gets them checked in for appointments
Greets visitors in person or on the phone and transfers calls to appropriate parties
Prepares intake packets for new clients and distributes necessary forms to clients before appointments
Manages mail distribution
Inputs weekly supervision data
Helps maintain inventory in the "coaching corner"/supplies for staff
Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Maintains continuity among programs by communicating about client concerns, irregularities, and agency needs
Accesses and helps maintain community information bulletin boards
Regularly updates employee contacts, pager phone, and employee file folders when staff are hired or leave the agency
Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges
May require verbal and written contact with outside agencies, which will require professionalism and confidentiality in accordance with company policy.
Demonstrate open communication with administrative staff.
Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
Work in a manner that is not disruptive to others.
Perform other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as assigned or required to meet the needs/goals of Arizona Youth & Family Services, Inc.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FRONT DESK CLERK

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Qualified candidates will have experience answering phones, typing, inputting data, performing behind the scenes administrative/clerical duties. The right candidate will be a quick learner with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. In addition, is able to multi-task and take direction and feedback from various personnel; has good problem solving and communications skills; maintains patient confidentiality and protects clinic operations by complying with HIPAA standards. Familiarity with Microsoft office products is preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE

A full-time Front Desk position at AYFS includes traditional work hours. Typical schedules is Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
