Director of Accounting - Plastic Manufacturing - Base Salary to 160k/year - Fort Worth, TX

• Our client, a top American-made Manufacturer & Distributor is seeking a Director of Accounting to manage all aspects of the accounting department for a multi-plant manufacturer of PVC products.
• In this role, the Director of Accounting will interact with all levels within the company to provide accurate, timely and meaningful financial information.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day activities throughout accounting department
• Implement New Accounting Policies & Procedures
• Responsible for Month-end and Year-end Close: all Preparation & Review
• Prepare, Review & Distribute Monthly Financials
• Monitor accuracy of financial data & ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded
• Responsible for al aspects of Cost Accounting--including Machine Overhead Rates, Bills of Material, Standard Production Rates, Cost Calculations, & Manufacturing Variances
• Inventory Analysis & Reporting
• Develop Company Internal Controls- Ensure Adherence
• Responsible for Accuracy of the General Ledger Account Reconciliations
• Manage Accounts Payable Functions
• Coordinate External Audits, Director & Execute Internal Audits
• Responsible for Accruals & Allocations
• Manage Sales Tax Reporting & Payments
• Manage & Administer EE Expense Account Reporting
• Responsible for Record Retention
• Ensure Accuracy of Bank Reconciliations and Governmental Reporting
• Manage the Vendor Master File & Annual 1099 Filings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting/Finance or Related Field
• 7+ Years of Experience as Accounting Manager, in a Manufacturing Environment
• Deep Understanding of accounting principles and processes
• Proficiency in MS/Windows Applications & ERP Systems
• BI Tools Experience is a plus
• Employee Expense Reporting Systems (Concur)
• Accounts Payable Automation Software (Bottomline Technologies)

Compensation:

• Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 160k/year plus a discretionary bonus. Company also offers 401k with a match, & top health benefits.
