Description Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Desktop Engineer to join our client's team. This role will provide hands-on technical support for end-user systems, hardware, and software, ensuring seamless functionality and delivery of quality service. The Desktop Engineer will play a key role in maintaining the IT infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: + Provide technical support to users, ensuring desktop systems, laptops, printers, and other peripherals are operational and meet performance standards + Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, operating systems, hardware, and software, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity + Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of IT issues + Maintain and update documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures, ensuring accessibility and standardization across the organization + Monitor and manage ticketing systems, prioritizing tasks and meeting service-level agreements (SLAs) + Assist in onboarding processes, such as setting up new users and configuring accounts and systems Requirements + Education: Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a relevant field or equivalent professional experience + Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years in a desktop engineering or similar technical support role; experience in onsite support is preferred + Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting + Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or other relevant certifications are a plus + Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset + Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
