Job Description

Vagaro is looking to add a new Designer/Photographer to the Marketing Creative team. This candidate must have a strong photography and editing background with knowledge in both studio and location shooting. You'll often be meeting and photographing our inspiring customers, so experience in connecting with, and making comfortable non-professional subjects is key for this position. 

Light design skills are required as this job comes with a supportive environment to help build design skillset. This is a full-time, on-location position at the Vagaro headquarters in Pleasanton, CA. You will work alongside an awesome team of other designers and creative professionals to help maintain and grow the Vagaro brand. 

*Position reports to  Pleasanton , CA- Onsite position*

Design tasks 

• Ad assets for campaigns 
• Blog image sourcing 
• Social media asset creation 
• Email marketing asset creation 
• Various Marketing Materials 

Photography tasks 

• On-Location customer visits & profiles 
• Studio product shoots for online ads 
• Seasonal ad campaign shoots (products & people) 
• Occasional documentary event shooting 
• Company employee headshots 

Additional Tasks

• Participate in brainstorm and creative meetings 
• Assist the marketing team with creative content 
• Maintain studio organization and cleanliness 

Required:

• Photography & Design portfolio required upon submission
• 3 year minimum professional photography experience 
• 2 years minimum professional design experience or relevant courses 
• Strong understanding of Photography principles 
• Experience making comfortable & directing “real-people” subjects 
• Studio & Natural light photography experience 
• Strong Pre & Post Production Skills/Process 
• Photo editing & manipulation skills 
• Solid understanding of good design principles 
• Strong background in typography, layout, composition, and color theory 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator priority) 
• Active listener with strong communication skills 
• Creative, ambitious, and driven, with an attention to detail 
• Ability to meet deadlines 
• Can work well independently and collaboratively
• Ability to create content that follows within brand guidelines 
• Up to date on design and style trends 

Good to have  

• BA or BFA with a concentration in Photography or Graphic Design 
• Marketing Strategy Knowledge 
• Motion Graphics Skills 
• Ability to work with 3D assets 
• Social Media Knowledge
