Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Salary: $50,000/year-$60,000/year
• Required experience: 3PL claims experience

Carrier Compliance Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Audit and process carrier invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate with carriers and factoring companies to request and confirm necessary documentation.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in carrier invoices promptly.
• Respond to inquiries from carriers and factoring companies regarding payment status via phone and email.
• Reconcile outstanding carrier invoices and ensure proper documentation.
• Review and refine company compliance policies and procedures to reduce risks and improve efficiency.
• Regularly audit internal processes to identify potential weaknesses or areas of risk.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans based on audit findings and compliance issues.
• Manage cargo claims, ensuring timely processing and resolution:
• Subrogate carriers for payments related to claims.
• Collaborate with legal teams for escalated cases with executive approval.
• Keep executives informed about potential liabilities.
• Maintain communication with cargo insurance providers and customers to update them on claim statuses.

Carrier Compliance Manager Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Compliance and Risk Management: Understanding of company compliance procedures and the ability to create, review, and implement policies to mitigate business risks. Familiarity with industry regulations and the ability to maintain company standards.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using software tools related to invoicing, claims processing, and auditing. TMS software is McLeod.
• Attention to detail: Ability to review invoices, audit processes, and identify discrepancies with precision.
• Problem solving: Strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve carrier invoice discrepancies and claims efficiently.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with carriers, factoring companies, legal teams, insurance providers, and customers. Ability to clearly explain issues, claim statuses, and resolutions.
• Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, particularly when handling audits, claims, and payments simultaneously.
