Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiac Sonography Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications:

• Basic or Advanced Life Support certification (required)
• One (1) of the following certifications (required):
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• If holding an RCS or RDCS AE , must obtain RCCS or RDCS PE within 18 months of employment

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Performed high-quality pediatric echocardiograms , ensuring accuracy and adherence to departmental protocols
• Assess patients' medical history and health status to ensure proper imaging techniques
• Verify that ultrasound examinations align with patient history and notify the physician of any contraindications
• Utilize and demonstrate proficiency in various echocardiogram modalities
• Analyzed diagnostic results , compared previous studies, and prepared preliminary reports for Cardiologists
• Conduct measurements and calculations per laboratory and IAC guidelines, providing oral summaries of findings
• Assist Cardiac Sonographers and Cardiology Fellows with pre/post procedures, preliminary image reviews, and reports
• Mentor and train new Sonographers through onboarding, departmental orientation, and education sessions
• Maintain equipment quality assurance, cleanliness, and preventive maintenance , reporting any malfunctions
• Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to department growth
• Join the on-call schedule as per department requirements
• Stay committed to continuing education and skill development
• Foster a compassionate and patient-centered approach , creating personalized and efficient experiences for patients and their families
