Business Development Assistant (Remote) Location Remote :

KLDiscovery, a leading global provider of electronic discovery, information governance and data recovery services, is currently seeking a Business Development Assistant to support our executives within our Legal Technologies Business Development team.

The Business Development Assistant performs administrative duties for the Executive Vice President, Business Development and other key leadership within the Executive Sales team. Responsibilities include travel coordination, collaborating with internal operations departments, providing first class service to high profile clients, assisting with expense reports, office management responsibilities, coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, and other key objectives. This position requires high organizational and teamwork skills, prior experience working with law firms, familiarization with KLD internal processes, and the ability to prioritize and work independently.

The ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience working in or with law firms and be eager to learn and support the KLD cultural values including Creativity, Customer Focus, and Team. A Business Development Assistant must be available to work flexible hours, have excellent verbal and written communication, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and present a customer service and team focused attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide General administrative support to the Business Development Senior Executives. Examples include: manage schedules, arrange travel, process expense reports, coordinate conference calls, respond to emails etc.
  • Oversee general office duties including supply procurement, incoming and outgoing shipments, and coordinating with Senior Management
  • Maintain client relationships and provide exemplary support including expedited responses to emails and phone calls, sending tokens of appreciation, and escalating items needing resolution
  • Draft and coordinate the finalization of pricing estimates, service agreements, and statements of work
  • Coordinate client response and escalations among business development executives, project management team, legal team, and other internal resources, as necessary
  • Track expenses and create expense reports in an online reporting tool
  • Organize meetings including conference room coordination and catering arrangements
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, associate degree preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Prior experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide customer service and support to internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • Prior experience learning new tools and processes quickly
  • Ability to handle multiple competing items and remain organized
  • Friendly disposition and willing to go above and beyond to support internal and external clients
  • Available to travel 2-3 times per year
  • Available to work flexible hours, including outside standard office hours
