Task Description:

23060 AIRCRAFT SERVICER The Aircraft Servicer (Airport Utility Worker) services aircraft, performing any combination of the following tasks, directs incoming and outgoing aircraft near terminal or flight line parking area to assist pilot's maneuvering of the aircraft on ground, using hand or light signals or drives light truck with guiding sign, and secures aircraft in parking position with blocks, stakes, and tie downs.

Task Requirements:

  • Performs duties as Aircraft Servicer on P-3 aircraft in support of Customs Border Protection (CBP).
  • Monitor and service all aircraft systems for day to day flight schedule support, work maintenance requirement cards in relation to daily and turnaround inspections and operate all ground support equipment.
  • Use basic hand tools and toolbox and familiar with US Navy Positive Tool Control Program.
  • Launch and recover aircraft in accordance with specific guidelines during day and night hours.
  • Perform fueling operations using gravity fill and closed circuit refueling methods.
  • Service engine oil and hydraulic systems as required.
  • Act as a member of an aircraft moving crew when directed.
  • Perform aircraft washing and lubrication when assigned.
  • Act as a member of the engine rinse team when directed.
  • Familiar with and operate portable firefighting equipment.
  • Use provided safety equipment when working with hazardous materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness of your assigned work area.
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
  • Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
  • May be required to perform simple computer input functions.
  • Assist when directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Out of country travel may be required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • P-3 aircraft servicing experience and background
  • Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) or equivalent.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of documented aircraft servicing experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft mechanical and electrical repair, maintenance procedures, and aircraft egress systems.
  • Must possess valid state drivers license.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • A current U.S. passport, accept period time away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
  • Ability to obtain CBP Secret clearance

Compensation

$31.14/hour

Other Compensation

Employees that waive medical insurance, receive an opt-out payment of $2.00 per hour paid to a maximum of 40 hours per week.

Employees accrue 3.07 hours of vacation and 2.15 hours of personal paid time per pay period. KAI union employees working for at CBP have 10 paid holidays.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
